Greetings,
SAVE THE DATE: YOU ARE INVITED ON WEDNESDAY, NOV. 11
WORKING SNAKE RIVER RECEPTION AND PRESENTATION
You're invited to an informal reception and presentation about
restoring a working Snake River for Washington State.
The federal government's mis-management of the Columbia and
Snake Rivers and their salmon and steelhead populations has
created a regional crisis. Thus far, federal attempts at
solutions have proven to be lengthy and expensive failures.
Save Our Wild Salmon is co-hosting an event with other
organizations to outline a different path to bring together
regional stakeholders - including, for example, farmers,
ratepayers, conservationists and fishermen - to collaborate on
crafting a science-based plan that restores healthy, fishable
populations of wild salmon and steelhead. In addition to
recovering salmon, this plan would create opportunities to
invest in clean and affordable energy, effective transportation
alternatives for farmers, and a thriving outdoor recreational
economy for our region.
It is time to come together to restore a Snake River that works
for all of Washington State.
Join us November 11 to learn more and find out how you can get
involved.
