Presented by Matt Schwartz, California Housing Partnership
Three California agencies (CPUC, CEC and CSD) regulate energy retrofit programs spending more than $500 million a year on increasing the energy efficiency of existing low income housing yet it is virtually im-possible for owners of low income housing properties to access many of these funds. Come join a growing coalition of nonprofit housing organizations and energy retrofit advocates to find out about efforts under-way to improve this situation. Discussion will be led by Matt Schwartz from the California Housing Part-nership. Other discussants will include Wayne Waite from HUD's Office of Sustainable Housing and Communities, who will present the latest information on HUD's growing partnership with the federal De-partment Of Energy and the implications for California programs, Dan Adams, from the SF Mayor's Of-fice of Housing, who will describe the innovative retrofit program under development by San Francisco, Berkeley and Oakland, representatives from Enterprise and LIIF, who will give an update on the status of their Green Retrofit Loan Fund, Heather Larson from StopWaste.Org will describe multifamily standards development within Energy Upgrade California.
Lunch will be available at 11:30AM to allow time to eat and network before the workshop.
