Ryan White Letter of Support
The Ryan White CARE Act reauthorization will not occur before the law sunsets on September 30th. Senator Lautenberg (D-NJ) has authored a "Dear Colleague" letter to send to the Chairmen and ranking member of the Senate Committee on on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions urging them to extend the current version of the Ryan White Care Act while the committee reviews a three year reauthorization. Unfortunately, only 8 other senators have signed onto the bill so far. The RWCA provides funds to lifesaving programs that are a safety net for many people living with HIV/AIDS. Please, contact your senators today and tell them to sign this important letter.

Subject: Ryan White CARE Act Reauthorization
Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
I ask you today to sign a letter authored by Senator Lautenberg to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions urging them to take action to temporarily extend the Ryan White CARE Act.
The Ryan White CARE Act is the reflects the unified recommendations of more than 323 HIV/AIDS organizations across the nation. The act provides critical services for those living with HIV/AIDS but is set to sunset on September 30th. Should this law not be extended before it sunsets at the end of this month, those who rely on Ryan White will see gaps in their life-saving coverage.

Sincerely,
|
