Campaign Unavailable We're sorry, this alert is no longer available. If you would like to learn more about ways you can take action, please visit IDA's Action Center. The short explanation of this alert was: In late July, a deal was finalized that gave Six Flags Discovery Kingdom "ownership" of four elephants previously "owned" by the City of Vallejo. In late June 2007, IDA issued a report on the state of the elephants at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Citing medical records and eyewitness testimony, we revealed evidence that the elephants are victims of abusive treatment and are suffering from ailments related to the inadequate, stressful, and unnatural conditions at the park. Please "Take Action" to urge Six Flags to send the elephants to a sanctuary! Tell them that in the meantime, the use of elephants for rides and in the tug-of-war and log stacking performances must stop. Please also urge friends and family to take action on this important issue. If you would like to view details on this alert, please visit here. |
