The short explanation of this alert was:

Global warming appears to be melting polar bears' Arctic habitat, posing serious threats to the species' long-term survival. Despite the looming dangers, a loophole in U.S. law allows American hunters to continue killing polar bears in Canada. Please "Take Action" to ask your members of Congress to close this loophole by co-sponsoring and supporting the Polar Bear Protection Act.
