The short explanation of this alert was:

Five members of the Makah tribe illegally killed a Grey whale off the coast of Washington State recently, and could face charges under Makah tribal law, U.S. federal law, and international law. Please "Take Action" to urge officials from the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), a division of the Department of Commerce, to pursue charges against the whalers under the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA).

Please also ask friends and family to take action on this important issue.
