Unfortunately, poaching in national parks has reached epidemic proportions and with declining resources, rangers are struggling to stay one step ahead of poachers. In a reckless about-face, the National Park Service is considering a change in the law which would allow visitors to carry loaded weapons in the park. Allowing loaded weapons will not only encourage some visitors to take aim at park wildlife, it will also make it more difficult to stop poachers.
