The short explanation of this alert was:

Lake Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge is accepting public comments on its Draft Comprehensive Conservation Plan and Environmental Impact Statement (CCP/EIS) now through September 21st. Please "Take Action" to ask the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to manage the Refuge as a true sanctuary for animals by banning all consumptive activities, including hunting, fishing, and trapping.

Please also urge friends and family to take action on this important issue.
