The short explanation of this alert was:

A research facility in Colombia is illegally trafficking in wild-caught owl monkeys from Peru and Brazil. Once at the lab, the animals are doomed to live under horrific conditions and endure tortuous treatment. Please Take Action to ask government officials to prohibit the lab from importing owl monkeys from neighboring countries, and to investigate conditions at the facility.

Also ask your friends and family to take action on this issue.
