The short explanation of this alert was:

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is aggressively pushing to exempt factory farms from clean air laws. The EPA's reason for ignoring longstanding clean air standards is "to reduce the burden on the regulated community" because it's just too difficult for these industrial polluters to comply with environmental laws and still make a profit from the mass-slaughter of animals. But it is we the people who pay the hidden health and environmental costs of cheap meat. Please Take Action by March 27th to urge the EPA to ensure that factory farms comply with all environmental laws.
