If you would like to learn more about ways you can take action, please visit IDA's Action Center.The short explanation of this alert was: Last year, the HBO documentary Dealing Dogs shocked millions of viewers into awareness of the cruelty perpetrated by Class B random source dealers, who acquire animals -- sometimes illegally -- and sell them to laboratories for experiments. An amendment to the Farm Bill that would prohibit laboratories from purchasing dogs and cats from Class B dealers has already passed the House of Representatives. Please Take Action to urge your Senators to vote Yes on the amendment to their version of the Farm Bill to prevent pets from being stolen and sold into research. Please tell your family and friends to take action, as well.
