Despite the reduced revenue picture, our elected officials created a budget that Invests in People First! Thanks to your advocacy, the council protected and expanded food delivery services to low-income seniors, people living with chronic illnesses and disabilities. Among the council’s additions were these hunger-relief investments:
These were not easy investments, as the city had to also cut $19 million from their budget. The following elected officials worked hard to make sure the needs of our city’s food-insecure residents were met during these tough economic times:
