Campaign Unavailable We're sorry, this alert is no longer available. If you would like to learn more about ways you can take action, please visit IDA's Action Center. The short explanation of this alert was: Since 2000, government agencies have killed more than 1,900 free-roaming bison as they migrate from Yellowstone National Park to serve the interests of Montana ranchers grazing their livestock on nearby public lands. While American taxpayers fund this slaughter to the tune of $3 million a year, two volunteer observers documenting the hazing and slaughter of wild bison were illegally arrested while exercising their Constitutionally-protected First Amendment rights. Please "Take Action" to politely urge Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer to protect Yellowstone's bison herd, as well as the civil rights of those opposed to the slaughter. Also, please tell a friend about this issue and donate to IDA so that we can continue our important work for animals. If you would like to view details on this alert, please visit here. |
