The short explanation of this alert was:

In the coming months Vermont has the opportunity to provide clean, sensible traffic solutions that reduce pollution and help curb global warming.

The Circ Highway in Chittenden County is a transportation curse, not a blessing.

The Circ as it was envisioned 30 years ago is now an outdated, ill-conceived and expensive highway project. It will increase global warming pollution, destroy farmland and fragile wetlands, reduce transportation choices, harm the economy and increase traffic.

Fixing existing roads instead of building the Circ is a cleaner and more effective solution.

Take Action Today for clean and effective transportation solutions.

1. Submit comments today asking government agencies to stop the Circ Highway and provide cleaner solutions. Please submit comments before Nov. 21, 2007.

2.  Attend one of the public hearings on Oct. 4, 2007. Find out more here!
