The short explanation of this alert was:
The Alaska Board of Game has recently issued public permits for the aerial shooting of wolves, which involves pursuing packs of wolves with an airplane and then gunning them down when they become too exhausted to run any more. The killing has already begun, with more than 150 gunners and pilots taking part in the Board of Game's wolf reduction scheme aimed at boosting moose populations for hunters to shoot. Please “Take Action” to urge President Bush to enforce the Federal Airborne Hunting Act (FAHA) and end the aerial gunning of wolves in Alaska.
