Campaign Unavailable We're sorry, this alert is no longer available. If you would like to learn more about ways you can take action, please visit IDA's Action Center. The short explanation of this alert was: The USDA recently stopped the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration because six of the 10 finalists had been sored. Though illegal, many trainers use this painful practice that forces horses to walk with an exaggerated gait because it makes them more likely to win competitions. Please "Take Action" to thank USDA deputy administrator Chester Gipson for having the courage to protect show horses from abusive practices. Also, please tell a friend about this issue and donate to IDA so that we can continue our important work for animals. If you would like to view details on this alert, please visit here. |
