Campaign Unavailable The U.S. Senate unanimously passed its version of the Pets Evacuation and Transportation Standards (PETS) Act. In May, the U.S. House of Representatives passed its version by an overwhelming vote. U.S. legislators are taking important steps to ensuring that Americans will never again be forced to leave their pets behind, treating them like disposable property when disaster strikes, as happened during Hurricane Katrina. The final passage of the PETS Act will be a priority when Congress returns from recess in September. |
