Playground Grant
Opportunity
KaBOOM!, a national nonprofit
dedicated to empowering communities to build playgrounds and
provide children with safe places to play, is hosting a
free regional training workshop called WE
Play! in Los
Angeles on June 5th at the
Marriott-LAX. While it is free, you must register
for the event at www.kaboom.org/weplay.
WE Play! is an opportunity to learn both the
logistics of organizing a community-built playspace and how to advocate play
locally and nationally. KaBOOM!, will also be having a
playground build the next day, June 6th, at the Los
Cerritos YMCA. All are welcome to attend the playground build as
well.
In addition, KaBOOM!, will be offering five $7,500 grants to help
select attendees get their own community playground projects off
the ground.
