A bold plan for energy independence
What could clean energy and good jobs do for your community? We've just released the New Apollo Program, and we need your help to spread the word in your area. Write to your local newspaper and demand big, bold action to end our oil addiction and turn the economy around.
Here are some tips on writing a letter with a good chance of getting published:
- Keep it SHORT – most published letters are 100-200 words, or less. That's a few short paragraphs.
- Keep it simple – just make one basic point.
- It's best to refer or respond to a recently published article – one on the economic crisis would be perfect.
- Include your contact information so the paper can get in touch with you.
Use the talking points below to help hone your ideas – but your letter has a better chance of being published if it's in your own words.
