4 Days Left to Pass the Healthy Teens Act

The New York State Senate is starting to pay attention to this important issue.  This week, the Senate Health Committee passed the Healthy Teens Act by a vote of 15-2.  But it still has to get to the floor for a full vote before the end of session on June 22.

We need to get life saving information to the young people in our lives and the Healthy Teens Act will help communities do just that!

Help to pass the Healthy Teens Act

The Healthy Teens Act would create a competitive grant program to school districts and community-based organizations to provide comprehensive sex education to young people.  It would allow communities to determine how best to get this information to young people and substantially involve parents.  And best yet, it would be a great alternative to the more than $13 million being spent on dangerous abstinence-only programs that don't work.
